Technical Marketing Engineer

As a Technical Marketing Engineer at Druva, you will play a key role in ensuring that our Sales Engineering (SE) team and partners have the technical knowledge and tools to win and meet aggressive business targets.  You will be responsible for creating technical content and collateral, training sales engineers, conducting deep technical analysis and demonstrations of competitive products while acting as technical expert and evangelist on Druva products. This is a high visible and strategic position both within the company and in a fast growing Cloud Data Management market.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Global Systems Engineering (SE) and Product Management teams to develop and deliver transformational training offerings on Druva Products and technology
  • Install, evaluate, and perform in-depth analysis of competitive and complementary technologies and products to compare and differentiate them with Druva’s offering as well as understand their relative impact on our solutions
  • Create technical collateral such as White papers, Technology reports, Solution Guides, Competitive documents, Technical Decision Maker (TDM) presentations etc to support the sales efforts
  • Define, build and maintain a multi-purpose demo and lab environment for use by Global SE Teams
  • Collaborate with Product Management, R&D teams to support product validation efforts, betas and influence product direction
  • Assist SE teams with Proof of Concepts (POCs), solution design, RFQ and other technical requests on prospective deals
  • Support the Product Marketing efforts by creating compelling technical demonstrations, technical videos and represent Druva as a technical evangelist at trade shows


Required Skills 

  • 5+ years Technical Marketing Engineer, Sales Engineer, or equivalent experience
  • Candidate must be highly technical, with proven hands on experience in enterprise backup, storage and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) technologies
  • Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure (SaaS, IaaS)  and understanding of public clouds, especially Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Excellent writing skills, including the ability to create original technical content based on research findings
  • Ability to write scripts (e.g. Python), design test solutions, labs etc
  • Motivated self-starter, ability to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment
  • Presentation skills to clearly communicate product functionality and advantages
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent technical degree
  • Knowledge of Endpoints and Cloud Applications (O365, Google Apps) is a plus
